ACE: Renewable Energy Market Assessment study in Uganda
|
The study collected relevant information relating to the Renewable Energy market systems in Uganda, although with a core focus on stand-alone solar systems. Furthermore, existing barriers were assessed for market acceleration and potential opportunities for DFID’s Africa Clean Energy (ACE) program to help overcome these barriers were identified. The study was carried out for the ACE Technical Advisory Facility (TAF) programme which aims to catalyse a market-based approach for private sector delivery of Renewable Energy electrification technologies (including SHS’s and a range of productive use products and services) in 14 target countries. The three pillars of ACE include enabling environment, knowledge management and coordination.
